Field Service Engineer – Gates, Barriers & Security Systems

Location: South East (ideally based within 20 miles of Watford)  Salary: £35,000 basic + overtime + on-call allowance (OTE £45,000–£50,000+) Training provided | Career growth | Hands-on, varied field work

We’re supporting a leading engineering firm that designs, installs, and maintains physical security systems across the UK. They’re looking for a Field Service Engineer with a strong mechanical background to join their team.

You’ll be working on installations, maintenance, and repairs of high-security systems such as gates, barriers, blockers, and turnstiles — with full training provided. While electrical experience isn’t essential, being comfortable using a multi-meter to check voltages on motors or similar equipment would be a real advantage. Due to the nature of some client sites, random drug and alcohol tests may be carried out.
