We are now looking to employ Fire & Security Installation Engineers to work across sites in the UK. Responsibilities
Multi-system installation to pre-commissioning of Fire, Intruder Alarm, CCTV, Access Control and DDA systems in accordance with current standards and Codes of Practice. Work within project time constraints; identify and communicate any potential risks to project delivery dates without delay. Commission and handover systems in line with specifications and drawings, including client demonstrations. Experience with network/IP based products is advantageous. Ensure timesheets and all relevant paperwork are completed on time. Undertake relevant training as required and comply with health & safety requirements. Secondment to the Service Department or other projects as required by the business. Maintain health, safety and welfare of yourself and the team in accordance with Company policy. Complete relevant e-documentation (via tablet) or paperwork in line with SSAIB & BAFE requirements. Support company policy and best practice in fire and security, with emphasis on protecting sensitive customer information. Knowledge of integration of detection systems into other disciplines is advantageous.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven background and experience of Intruder, CCTV, Fire Alarms, Access Control, Door Entry and DDA systems. Network/IP based product experience is beneficial. BS5839 knowledge is essential; FIA qualifications are beneficial but not essential. Good communication skills for customer-facing environments. Ability to work alone and manage time effectively. Strong understanding of applicable industry standards and Health & Safety requirements. Full driving licence and willingness to travel to locations across the country, with possible overnight stays. ECS Card and a flexible attitude to working hours. Self-motivated and a team player, with professionalism, positivity and proactiveness.
Working Hours & Benefits Working hours are 08:30 to 17:00 with a 30-minute lunch break. Salary will be discussed at interview stage. Some overnight stays may be required, with incentives discussed at interview. Location & Application Details Role based across sites in the UK. Please apply with your level of experience.
