OverviewFire and Security Installation Engineer role at Scenic Prop and Design. EDSB Integrated Solutions are national providers of Fire & Security, Electrical, Mechanical and Building Services. From Design and Specification through to Installation and Maintenance, our focus is to deliver compliance and a high level of service. We work nationally across the UK and are a flexible, client-focused organisation responsive to client needs.We are looking to employ Fire & Security Installation Engineers to work across sites in the UK. The role involves installation, commissioning and handover of Fire, Intruder Alarm, CCTV, Access Control and DDA systems, and related duties as described below.ResponsibilitiesInstall multiple system types up to pre-commissioning for Fire, Intruder Alarm, CCTV, Access Control and DDA systems in accordance with current standards and Codes of Practice.Work within project time constraints and communicate any potential risks to project delivery dates without delay.Commission and handover systems in line with specifications and drawings, including client demonstrations.Possess or develop experience with network/IP based products.Understand BS5839; FIA qualifications are beneficial but not essential.Complete timesheets and all relevant paperwork on time.Undertake relevant training as required and comply with Health & Safety requirements.Be willing to be seconded to the Service Department or other projects as required.Ensure adherence to company policy, health, safety and welfare of yourself and the team.Complete relevant e-documentation (via tablet) or paperwork in line with SSAIB & BAFE requirements.Actively support company policy and best practice in fire and security, with emphasis on protecting sensitive customer information.Knowledge of integrating detection systems with other disciplines is advantageous.Requirements / QualificationsProven background and experience with Intruder, CCTV, Fire Alarms, Access Control, Door Entry and DDA systems.Network/IP based product experience is beneficial. BS5839 understanding is essential; FIA qualifications are beneficial but not essential.Good communication skills for customer-facing work.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Strong understanding of relevant industry standards and Health & Safety.Full driving licence and willingness to travel across the country; some overnight stays may be required.ECS Card.Flexible attitude to working hours and travel; self-motivated team player with professionalism and proactivity.Additional informationWorking hours are 08:30 to 17:00 with a 30-minute lunch break.
