Firewall Engineer – Sheffield/Hybrid (6-Month Contract)

My client, within Financial Services, are looking for a Firewall Engineer on an initial 6 Month Contract. The role is INSIDE of IR35 and paying £530 P/D.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and Project Managers to create Low-Level Designs (LLDs) adhering to architectural standards.
  • Ensure firewall designs are implemented in line with current architecture and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Work with global support teams to transition solutions into operational support.
  • Contribute to key transformational projects as part of the wider business-aligned demand.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience designing and implementing complex network solutions in regulated industries or large enterprises.
  • Expertise in firewalled enterprise, DMZ, and segmented environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Checkpoint systems, including:
  • Checkpoint Gaia
  • Checkpoint Quantum
  • Experience in writing firewall rules, configuration, deployment, and review of Checkpoint firewalls.
