Role Overview


They are seeking an experienced FPGA Engineer with deep expertise in VHDL to lead the design, implementation, and verification of FPGA-based solutions for advanced communication systems. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects within a collaborative and skilled engineering team.


Key Responsibilities


  • Design and implement digital logic using VHDL for FPGAs used in communication systems
  • Collaborate with system architects, hardware designers, and software engineers to define and refine FPGA requirements
  • Perform simulation, synthesis, place-and-route, and timing analysis
  • Conduct design verification, validation, and lab-based testing
  • Optimize FPGA designs for performance, power consumption, and resource utilization
  • Contribute to technical documentation, design reviews, and process improvements


Required Skills and Experience


  • Proven industry experience in FPGA design, with a strong focus on VHDL
  • Solid understanding of digital design principles, simulation tools, and the synthesis flow
  • Hands-on experience with major FPGA platforms (e.g., Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Microsemi)
  • Familiarity with version control systems and scripting languages (e.g., Tcl, Python)
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in FPGA lab environments
  • Experience in communication systems (wireless, optical, satellite, etc.) is a significant advantage


Preferred Qualifications


  • Knowledge of high-speed interfaces, digital signal processing (DSP), or embedded systems
  • Understanding of hardware/software co-design and system-level integration
