Front Office Support Engineer - Sought by Leading Financial Services - London - Permanent
About the role: We're looking for an Application Support engineer to work within the EMEA Front Office Support team. The team requires a motivated self-starter who has the technical skills to support a growing number of buy-side members utilising their FIX, Linux, Windows Server, DevOps, database and networking skills.
Required Experience:
Strong hands-on support experience within a financial institution (buy-side, sell-side, venue/platform provider)
Solid application support experience within a Linux environment.
Excellent working knowledge of the FIX protocol.
Good understanding of European Equity market structure, mechanics and flows.
Ability to convey expected behaviour of industry-standard algorithms (VWAP, TWAP, IS, POV etc)
Automation and scripting experience.
Proven experience of MSSQL, Oracle and Sybase database environments, including complex query-writing.
Experience supporting Windows Server environments.
