OverviewJob Title: General EngineerDepartment: Engineering / WorkshopLocation: TelfordReporting to: Workshop/Production ManagerHours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–FridayResponsibilitiesOperate milling and turning machines (manual and/or CNC depending on experience) to produce precision components.Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.Work to tight tolerances and quality standards.Carry out general workshop engineering duties, supporting across different projects as required.Set up machines, select appropriate tooling, and ensure safe operation.Perform inspection of finished parts to ensure compliance with specifications.Maintain equipment, ensuring machines are kept in good working condition.Assist colleagues and contribute to a collaborative, team-focused workshop environment.Follow company health & safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe working area.QualificationsPrevious experience in an engineering/machining role.Strong knowledge of both milling and turning processes.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.Experience with CNC programming or setting is advantageous, but not essential.Strong awareness of health and safety in a workshop environment.Personal AttributesReliable, committed, and hands-on.Flexible approach to work with a “can-do” attitude.Quality-focused, with pride in producing accurate and precise work.Willingness to learn and support colleagues across different projects.BenefitsCompetitive salary (dependent on experience).Opportunity to work with a well-established company in Telford.Supportive team environment.Training and development opportunities.If this General Engineer role in Telford sounds like the right fit for you, apply now to join our client’s growing team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
