What You’ll Be Doing:

• Building and deploying an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server architecture from scratch
• Applying Large Language Models (LLMs) to optimise and automate onboarding and compliance workflows
• Working alongside UK-based engineers and an offshore team (5+ developers)
• Supporting the scale-up of a secure, AI-integrated infrastructure
• Collaborating closely with the CTO and senior developers to define technical direction
• Taking ownership of backend services and AI components across the platform
• Node.js and/or Python
• AWS preferred
• Experience working with or deploying LLM models
• Experience with server-side development, scalable backend systems, and security best practices in regulated environments is ideal

What We’re Looking For:

• 2–5 years’ experience as a Software Engineer, AI Engineer, ML Engineer, or similar
• Hands-on experience with LLMs or AI tooling in production
• Comfortable building infrastructure from the ground up
• Strong backend development experience (Node.js or Python essential)
• Self-sufficient, curious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced scale-up environment
• Bonus: Experience in compliance, ID verification, onboarding tech, or FinTech
