Pay, Benefits & Culture

The salary range associated with this role is between £45,066 to £81,267. You’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications. What You’ll Be Doing

• Assess plant performance and recommend engineering programmes for outages and maintenance.
• Shape future operational strategies by proposing modifications that enhance long-term reliability and safety.
• Diagnose faults and deliver solutions for generators and associated equipment, applying innovative engineering practices and data analysis to drive improvements across the fleet.
• Contribute to business plans and performance enhancements through your insights.
• Provide technical specifications, oversee commissioning activities, and support reverse engineering efforts.
• Reinforce safety and professionalism to promote a Zero Harm environment and continuous improvement.

Who You Are

• Hands-on experience with large electrical generators and associated equipment, ideally within a power station environment.
• A degree or HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred; membership in a professional association is a plus.
• Knowledge of repair, refurbishment, and modification methodologies; familiarity with regulated work management processes.
• Committed to safety, quality, and innovation; capable of thriving in a collaborative, inclusive workplace.

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) which will, ordinarily, require you to have British residency for the last 3 years.
