About the Role: Location - Burgess Hill UK. Mode - 3 Days from office. Type - Permanent. We’re looking for an enthusiastic diligent Golang Software Engineer. The candidate should have excellent soft skills, strong technical ability, and a passion to learn. As a Software Engineer you will be building and enhancing features in the Account domain. You will also coordinate and work with other Engineers across the platform to share knowledge and principles.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in at least one backend type-safe programming language (Golang preferred).
• Experience with backend microservice architecture and communication (REST and asynchronous messaging services such as Kafka or RabbitMQ).
• Experience within a Scrum framework and delivering business functions and customer journeys automated through the CICD pipeline to production.
• Bachelors Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in professional software development.
• Solid understanding of test-driven development (unit, component, functional, system integration, and regression tests).
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and testing approaches (TDD, BDD).
• Knowledge of any or all of the following technologies: Kafka, Postgres, Golang, Git, gRPC, Docker, GraphQL.
• Experience with CI/CD and continuous testing (CT) and tools such as Jenkins, Rally, and JIRA; version control such as GIT or SVN.
