JOB – Graduate Civil Engineer

LOCATION – York

TERM – Permanent

SALARY – £30,000 per annum (plus benefits)

My client is a leading Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy, working across a range of infrastructure and construction projects. They are looking to take on a Graduate Civil Engineer to join their growing team based in York.

The Graduate Civil Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

• Knowledge of structural analysis, drainage, highways, or infrastructure design

• Familiarity with industry software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar (desirable)

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Good understanding of engineering principles and design codes

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

• Ability to work well as part of a team and eager to learn

• Keen to progress towards Chartered Engineer status (MICE)

The Graduate Civil Engineer role will involve:

• Supporting senior engineers in the design and delivery of civil and infrastructure projects

• Preparing engineering drawings, models, and calculations

• Assisting with technical reports, design specifications, and documentation

• Liaising with other engineering disciplines, clients, and contractors

• Supporting site inspections, surveys, and project delivery

• Developing professional skills and working towards chartership
