Base pay range £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Location: Southampton. Term: Permanent. Role Graduate Mechanical Engineer Location: Southampton Term: Permanent My client designs and manufactures bespoke products for a number of industries. They are looking to take on a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Southampton on a permanent basis. Requirements / Qualifications
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar Experience working with machinery or other heavy equipment Eager to work in a hands-on and varied Engineering role Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials – sheet metal, plastics, injection moulding, machining etc Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Excellent organisational skills and time management skills Ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team A background in Manufacture would be beneficial Team player; eager to train and develop their career in Engineering/Manufacture
Responsibilities
Mechanical assembly of a variety of products and equipment Working with CNC machinery Opportunities to train in different areas of Engineering and progress into Design or Management Involvement in the design and development of new products CNC Milling or Turning with varied controls Reading from engineering drawings Adhering to company H&S requirements Working to procedures and instructions Communicating with different departments to resolve technical issues
