Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased graduate looking to begin a career in technical sales. You’ll be joining a dynamic team of sales engineers who are passionate about engineering and driving business growth. The role would suit a technically minded individual with some experience in sales, customer support, or a similar environment, and a genuine interest in seeing projects develop from enquiry through to delivery.
The position is office-based, but you will visit customers across the UK, with a particular focus on the Midlands, South East, and Home Counties. Initial training will be office-based, but the role will transition into a hybrid/remote position longer term.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage incoming enquiries while also identifying and developing new business opportunities.
* Demonstrate technical equipment capabilities using your expertise and company resources to support the sales process.
* Visit customer sites and book appointments to build and maintain relationships.
* Follow up on sales leads and progress opportunities through to completion.
* Support with installations and customer training sessions, ensuring a smooth handover.
* Provide ongoing support via phone and email to strengthen customer relationships.
* Promote a range of technical solutions to a diverse customer base.
The Candidate
Holds a degree with a mechanical bias (or equivalent technical qualification).
Strong desire to develop a career in sales.
Proficient IT skills, ideally with CRM or similar software experience.
Understanding of workshop machinery or mechanical systems.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently or within a team.
Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
Salary
£25,000 – £32,000 per year, plus commission (depending on skills and experience)
