OverviewRole: Hazards Engineer / Senior Hazards EngineerLocation: Bristol, Epsom or Manchester (Hybrid working available)Salary: £40000 – £70000Type: PermanentRole overviewThe successful candidate will focus on hazards assessments and analyses across a variety of technical domains. Responsibilities include leading the delivery of hazards safety cases, interfacing with civil, process and other engineering disciplines, and developing innovative solutions to complex problems such as meteorological hazards impacting the nuclear fleet. Numerical analysis supporting fire, flooding and seismic hazard evaluations may also form part of the role.The role offers exposure to a diverse client base including nuclear new build, fusion, small modular reactors, defence and generation projects. The postholder will support project delivery, address technically complex challenges, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.Team and developmentWorking within a multidisciplinary environment, the successful candidate will collaborate with a global technical community and contribute to knowledge sharing. Opportunities exist to mentor junior engineers and develop leadership capabilities in a supportive culture.Candidate requirementsCandidates should be motivated to deliver technically excellent work with attention to detail and an understanding of broader project objectives. Experience in hazards assessment within safety critical or nuclear sectors is desirable.Additional informationThis role is based in Bristol, Epsom or Manchester with hybrid working arrangements.
