LCDAE / CDAE Engineer — 1-year contract

Location: St Austell, Cornwall (with travel elsewhere as required)

Salary: £500 - £550 / day • Inside IR35

Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale design projects, overseeing all phases from FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) to project closeout.
  • Manage projects from start to finish, acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
  • Lead contract negotiations, actively pursue new business opportunities, and manage subcontractors.
  • Lead engineering design efforts across the UK business, drive strategic development of the department, and contribute to business planning.
  • Act as principal designer representative (PD Rep).

Qualifications

  • Signed off as an LCDAE or CDAE.
  • Degree qualified in the relevant discipline with design management experience.
  • Advanced understanding of UK CDM Regulations and different forms of contracts such as NEC and FIDIC.
  • Experience managing multiple high-value, complex projects, including working on National Grid Electricity Transmission projects.
