As the Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you will not only lead a small team of technicians but also play a crucial role in the build, test, repair, refurbishment, and upgrade of fleet equipment. Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Manage and develop a team of technicians, ensuring adherence to safety and 5S standards.
- Hands-On Involvement: Engage directly in manufacturing activities to understand the robot's build and testing processes.
- Documentation and Methods: Support the creation and adoption of manufacturing methods and documentation.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and act upon opportunities for process improvements.
- Production Planning: Collaborate with the Buyer Planner to ensure robust production plans are made and met.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Educational Background: Degree in engineering, operations management, or a science-related subject.
- Supervisory Experience: Proven experience in leading teams within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience in a related field, with a strong track record in root cause problem-solving.
- Recruitment Skills: Experience in building and developing work teams.
- Driving Licence: Full clean driving licence.
- Work Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the UK.
