Mechanical Design Engineer - Naval/Marine DomainWe are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team, focusing on combat design review and providing mechanical design feedback (Structural, Thermal, & Hydraulic) within the Naval/Marine domain.Take ownership of specific mechanical design issues and manage integrated combat systems.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, managing updates and design inputs.Produce CS mechanical design interface information.Perform engineering calculations and generate associated test specifications and procedures.Create engineering drawings using FORAN, CADS5, or Visio in accordance with BS 8888 standards.This role is part of our specialist engineering services, providing physical design and installation support for integrated combat systems equipment on the Royal Navy Submarine Fleet. It involves significant stakeholder engagement and offers opportunities for career development within BAE Systems.Qualifications & ExperienceExperience with Hydraulic/Pneumatic systems engineering.Degree or HND qualified with relevant experience.Chartered or working towards chartership.Desirable SkillsKnowledge of defence standards.Additional InformationWe value diversity and are committed to inclusive recruitment.
