Contract Lead Mechanical Engineer

ARCA is currently supporting an innovation-driven technology scale-up advancing power systems and sustainable technologies. They’re looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of the mechanical design for next-generation electric drive systems.

What you’ll do:

* Lead the mechanical design and assembly processes for advanced electric drive systems

* Apply your expertise in developing robust, cost-sensitive designs for challenging environments

* Contribute to scaling sustainable technologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

What we’re looking for:

* Experience delivering high-volume mechanical designs for harsh environments (automotive, aerospace, agriculture etc.)

* Strong background in Design for Manufacture (DfM) and production engineering

* Skilled in thermal/structural simulation tools and their practical application

* Proficiency with 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred)

The details:

* Contract – initial 3 months (Outside IR35)

* Location – Hethel, Norfolk (on-site presence required)

* Start – ASAP
