Lead Security Engineer (FTC) We’ve partnered with one of our long-term FinTech clients to fill an urgent role for them for a Lead Security Engineer. This is a 12 month fixed term contract for someone to come in and have the chance to start the further build out of their security department. There is a good chance of long term employment at the end, but it will begin as a contract role. This is a really exciting and very fluid environment. It's the kind of place where you can get something done inside a week if you really want to move things forward. Even though they are in the financial services sector, you're not inhibited by the kinds of red tape you get in other businesses in the space. They have a really exciting project pipeline coming up focusing on 5 key areas:

Focus areas

• Endpoint Security
• Social Engineering
• Detection and response
• Perimeter Defence
• Identity Security

Desired Skills

• Strong background in information security, with a proven track record of leading security initiatives and teams within complex, cloud-native environments.
• Deep understanding of security frameworks
• Expertise in threat modeling, vulnerability management, penetration testing, and incident response.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and their native security services

The ideal person here is someone who is a mid-career engineer who has done some cool stuff and is looking to take on the big challenge of expanding out a security department over the next 12 months. The role is fully remote within the UK.
