Join the Tax & Legal Technology Engineering team as a Lead Individual Contributor Software Engineer. The engineering department combines the energy of a startup with the resources of a major corporate, offering clear career progression, scrum practices, and high-profile projects.

What will you be doing?

You will be a lead individual contributor across a variety of projects for clients and internal professionals. You will work with the business to understand requirements and take a lead hands-on role in architectural design, tool selection and development of solutions. You will collaborate with Development Team Leads and Product Owners to prioritise deliverables and focus on delivering world-class solutions.

What will you need to do it?

  • Be a subject matter expert in full stack engineering using C#, ASP.Net Core 8, REST APIs, microservices and React, Blazor or Angular2 frameworks.
  • Demonstrable experience leading the design and development of distributed systems and secure products at scale.
  • Solid understanding of design practices, system architecture, application security and conducting code reviews.
  • Experience building applications for the cloud such as Azure (prefer.), AWS or GCP
  • Know how to build REST APIs and have experience of messaging
  • Experience defining data models and interacting with databases
  • Built software that includes user-facing web applications.

Skills we’d love to see / Amazing Extras

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or other serverless application delivery platforms
  • Used GIT, Jenkins, GitHub or Azure DevOps
  • Worked with Generative AI and large language models such as Azure AI Services or ChatGPT
  • Used Entity Framework or other ORM tools
  • Used NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB, Mongo or Cassandra
