Lead Software Engineer role at Veezu.

The lead software engineer will take ownership of our core technology stack. The ideal candidate is a Laravel PHP expert with strong experience in Vue.js and React, who can lead development efforts, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and high-quality solutions. This role will lead the engineering team developing our in-house driver partner portal.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage the development team, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and shape product roadmaps.
• Drive architectural decisions and ensure scalability, performance, and security of applications.
• Run team standups and progress meetings.
• Provide technical documentation to the business outlining processes, tools, and GDPR compliance requirements to ensure transparency, security, and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Laravel (PHP) as the primary backend framework.
• Build modern, responsive, and dynamic user interfaces with Vue.js and React.
• Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services where required.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues across the stack.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers, conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation within the team.
• Oversee project timelines, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
• Be committed to maintaining ISO27001 certification and set high standards for Information Security compliance.

What You’ll Need

• Proven experience as a Lead Engineer or Senior Full-Stack Engineer.
• Advanced proficiency with Laravel PHP framework.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Vue.js and React.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks.
• Proficient in version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and software development lifecycles.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical execution.

Additional Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices.
• Experience with NodeJs.
• Experience with React Native.

Where You’ll Be

• The role is flexible on location with a requirement to attend meetings at Veezu office locations across the country as needed.
