Are you a skilled DevOps Engineer with a passion for automation and come with a strong background in Linux Administration? You'll play a key role in building and maintaining robust infrastructure, enabling fast and reliable deployments, and supporting cutting-edge connectivity solutions used globally.

Role Style and Setup

Working as part of a small, dynamic DevOps team, you'll take ownership of Linux environments, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and cloud platforms. You'll work closely with the software and platform teams to streamline releases, automate processes, and ensure system reliability and scalability. This role offers flexible hybrid working, with two days per week in the Cambridge office (Free onsite parking).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and manage CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions)
  • Administer Linux servers, monitoring performance and ensuring security
  • Manage and maintain Docker and Kubernetes clusters for application deployment and scaling
  • Support and coordinate code releases alongside the development team
  • Leverage cloud platforms (GCP) to optimise system performance and redundancy
  • Document and continuously improve infrastructure and deployment processes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across production and development environments

Requirements

  • Full right to work in the UK without any restrictions
  • Be within an hour of Cambridge and happy to commute a minimum of 2 days per week
  • Strong experience deploying Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters in cloud environments
  • Proven Linux system administration expertise
  • Proficiency in Python and shell scripting
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable, resilient systems
  • Background in CI/CD workflows and automation (e.g. GitHub Actions)

Working Model

Hybrid: minimum two days per week in the Cambridge office. Standard office hours.
