Whether your background is electrical or mechanical, you’ll use your skills to ensure all systems operate smoothly and safely, delivering service that exceeds expectations.\n\nYou’ll be responsible for a range of maintenance tasks—from fault-finding and repairs to general building upkeep like minor plumbing, painting, and decorating. You'll also manage lighting maintenance and support the wider engineering team in keeping everything running to a high standard.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance works in line with service level agreements\n\n * \n\n Deliver engineering solutions based on your electrical or mechanical expertise\n\n * \n\n Perform general tasks including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and decorating\n\n * \n\n Manage and safely store equipment, tools, and materials\n\n * \n\n Undertake lighting maintenance, including lamp replacements and cleaning of diffusers\n\n * \n\n Support engineering team across a range of tasks and ensure consistent service delivery\n\n * \n\n Maintain accurate documentation of all work carried out\n\n * \n\n Promote and maintain safe working practices across all tasks\n\n * \n\n Build strong working relationships with both colleagues and clients\n\n * \n\n Represent Smart Managed Solutions with professionalism and a focus on customer service\n\n * \n\n Take responsibility for your ongoing learning and personal development\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n\n * \n\n Qualified or experienced in electrical or mechanical maintenance\n\n * \n\n Hands-on experience with general building and facility maintenance\n\n * \n\n Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach\n\n * \n\n Excellent team player with solid communication skills\n\n * \n\n Formally trained in an engineering discipline (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 1 or higher – desirable)\n\n * \n\n Committed to delivering excellent customer service and safe working environments\n\nWhy Choose Smart?\n\nAt Smart, you’re not just filling a role—you’re building a future.
