The business is seeking a highly skilled maintenance engineer with a mechanical bias who is eager to develop and grow alongside the company, contributing to its continued success.Performance ObjectivesMaximize production line efficiency and ensure timely delivery of PPM schedules for all equipment.Perform reactive maintenance and root cause analysis to minimize downtime and production issues.Drive continuous improvement in production processes, focusing on efficiency and product quality.Support the production team in optimizing shift processes and maintaining best practices.Coach and train production teams on technical skills, equipment, and processes, and support training plans.Identify and implement additional training opportunities to enhance departmental efficiency.Ensure compliance with audit standards, support the Site Manager and Technical Director with audits, and close corrective actions within deadlines.Implement waste reduction processes and improve site efficiency.Maintain training records and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.Lead by example in Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance; report incidents and ensure full PPE adherence.Minimize downtime and maximize output in line with company standards.Oversee the creation and execution of engineering and maintenance plans.Support the creation of SOPs for the Engineering Department and assist with H&S and Fire Safety management.Person SpecificationExperience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in an engineering or maintenance role within the FMCG, food, or pharmaceuticals sector.Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with experience coordinating teams during production shifts.Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of production equipment, process controls, and continuous improvement methodologies.Problem-solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, particularly in minimising downtime and resolving technical issues.Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with production staff and ensure smooth shift operations.Time-management Skills: The ability to manage your own time and lead others to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and within deadlines.Continuous Improvement Knowledge: Knowledge and application with continuous improvement methodologies.Health and Safety: A strong appreciation for health and safety standards, with experience in compliance management and risk assessment.ApplyPlease send your CV via the Apply now option on the websiteIf you have any questions or would like to explore other opportunities, please don't hesitate to reach out.This vacancy is being advertised by Gap Technical, who are acting as an employment agency.Gap Technical is dedicated to selecting, recruiting, and developing the best candidates, with decisions made solely on suitability for the role.Closing Date: 02.08.2025By applying for this position and submitting your personal data, you consent to its processing in accordance with our Privacy Policy. #J-18808-Ljbffr
