Market 36 Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established client within the food manufacturing sector for the position of Maintenance Engineer, based in Witham, Essex. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking engineering team within a growing production environment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering effective planned and reactive maintenance across a fast-paced production facility. This role requires both mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities, as well as the flexibility to assist with general site maintenance and support process improvements.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong engineering skills, preferably with experience in food or FMCG environments.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned, preventive, and predictive maintenance on production and factory equipment.

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and faults, diagnosing and resolving technical issues.

Complete raised maintenance requests within agreed timeframes.

Maintain accurate documentation and update maintenance logs and reports as required.
