As part of their ongoing investment in people and technology, they are now looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their dedicated engineering team and help ensure smooth, efficient, and reliable production operations.\n\nRole Overview\n\nAs a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the performance of their production lines and plant machinery.
You'll be responsible for delivering both planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company working with modern manufacturing equipment and contributing to the production of premium products enjoyed nationwide.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCarry out planned preventive maintenance across all production equipment.\nRespond promptly to reactive maintenance requests and breakdowns to minimise downtime.\nDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.\nWork on a variety of equipment including mixers, freezers, conveyors, pumps, and automated packaging systems.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives to optimise machine performance and efficiency.\nEnsure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations at all times.\nCollaborate with production teams to reduce recurring issues and improve processes.Requirements\n\nProven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment (essential).\nStrong knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance, ideally holding a relevant engineering qualification (e.g. NVQ, HNC, HND).\nFamiliarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.\nExcellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.\nStrong understanding of health & safety and food safety compliance.\nFlexibility to work shifts and provide occasional out-of-hours support when requiredApply Here
