We are seeking a CNC Automation Technician to work for a successful international equipment manufacturer based in Barnsley. OTE £(phone number removed) per year with a guaranteed basic starting salary £37,720.80 per annum + excellent benefits and overtime payments. Hours will be 07:30 -16:30 Monday - Thursday & 07:30 - 13:30 Friday (40 hours per week) The CNC Automation Technician role requires team players to provide technical support for Production CNC and Automated processes and systems to ensure continuity of Production output. The role will primarily be shop-floor based to enable quicker reaction to issues and to improve feedback between all stakeholders. Responsibilities and Duties: • Provide Technical support to Production to ensure CNC Machines operate effectively, responsible for optimising functionality and ensuring equipment is maintained to correct standards. • Control programme back up systems, make corrections and record reasons for changes to maintain historical records and references. • Carry out and create recovery procedures when functionality errors occur, ensuring all reasons are recorded for further investigation and future mitigation of errors. • Liaise with tooling/equipment suppliers for persistent performance concerns or functionality issues, recording outcomes and any changes made to the equipment/ tooling. • Carry out basic maintenance of the equipment to maintain functionality ...
