Hudson Shribman is looking for a Mechanical Designer to support the design and development of precision hydraulic and motion control systems. This role involves producing detailed manufacturing drawings, Bills of Materials (BoMs), and hydraulic schematics while ensuring designs meet functional and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Design mechanical assemblies, including actuators, solenoid control manifolds, cardan bearings, and load cells. Produce General Assembly (GA) drawings, detailed manufacturing drawings, and associated documentation to support procurement and production. Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, such as the Machinery Directive and Pressure Equipment Directive. Utilize 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) to create new designs and update existing components. Work closely with manufacturing teams to implement Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles. Manage assigned design projects, tracking progress and resolving technical issues. Support production and service teams in resolving engineering challenges and improving product reliability. Conduct design reviews and collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers. Create and maintain technical documentation, including design guidelines and construction files. Assist with risk assessments, method statements, and test procedures.
