We are now looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and complete allocated draughting and modelling work in an efficient and timely manner ensuring designs are accurate. You will also act as a support resource for the Mechanical Design Team. This varied role will include:

Delivery of engineering solutions in response to bespoke customer requirements for the range of products. Working directly with sales staff, Project Managers, Customers & Suppliers to establish specifications and produce drawings of design proposals for approval. Creating Bills of Materials and determining product specifications with supply chain. Generating and maintaining CAD models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor 2016 and Solidworks 2016. Prototype build and continuous improvement of new projects. Management of designated projects and provide regular project feedback on progress to the management teamWe can offer a salary to £45,000 plus excellent benefits including private health and invite applications from mechanical design engineers with the following attributes:

Experience of 3D CAD packages Preferably use of Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor and Vault being an advantage. Broad background in electro-mechanical product development Good general computer skills in MS Office applications Word and Excel Knowledge and understanding of sheet metal work is essential
