About the Position: We are hiring an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer on behalf of a leading client in the Aerospace and Defence industry. This role is critical in ensuring that products and processes meet the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will contribute to innovative projects, leveraging expertise in 3D modelling, mechanical design, and design-to-manufacture processes, while also addressing non-conformance issues and driving continuous improvement. Job Responsibilities: * Develop 3D models, create conceptual designs, and produce high-quality 2D manufacturing drawings, including GD&T. * Design mechanical components, parts, assemblies, and subassemblies, focusing on heavy industry applications such as power transmission systems, gears, and gearboxes. * Conduct detailed investigations of non-conformance issues, including root cause and failure mode analyses. * Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to develop and implement corrective actions. * Ensure that all designs comply with structural design methodologies and practices, including significant structural redesigns when necessary. * Maintain accurate documentation of investigations, corrective actions, and non-conformance reports. * Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and reduce non...
