Mechanical Design Engineer

Copello is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join an existing team on a 3-month contract working on a UK Eyes Only (UKEO) defence/aerospace programme based in the Buckinghamshire area.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to an R&D, prototype, or NPI environment, supporting new product development.
* Create detailed technical drawings, schemes, and 3D models using SOLIDWORKS.
* Produce tooling drawings and documentation to support manufacturing processes.
* Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to deliver high-quality design solutions.
Skills & Experience
* Strong background in defence/aerospace mechanical design.
* Proven expertise in SOLIDWORKS (3D CAD).
* Experience producing detailed technical drawings, schemes, and tooling documentation.
* Familiarity with prototype, R&D, or NPI programmes.
Role will require the successful candidate to be onsite 4 days a week. Role will require candidates to have active SC clearance or eligibility for SC.
Role is paying circa £55-£60 per hour (inside IR35)...
