Turner Property Recruitment are working with a leading MEP design consultancy seeking a

Mechanical Engineer

to join their South region team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a wide variety of building services projects, working closely with senior engineers, multidisciplinary colleagues, and clients to deliver coordinated, compliant, and technically robust design solutions. You will be responsible for day-to-day mechanical engineering design on live projects, from feasibility through to detailed design and construction. This is a delivery-focused role suited to someone who enjoys working in detail and wants to develop within a supportive, technically driven team. Key Responsibilities

Undertake mechanical engineering design for building services projects, including heating, ventilation, cooling, and domestic water systems. Prepare and check calculations, drawings, and specifications across concept, developed, and technical design stages. Coordinate mechanical systems with other disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical, sustainability). Work closely with project leads and senior engineers to ensure technical compliance and quality assurance. Support the preparation of design packages for tender and construction, including responding to contractor queries. Contribute to internal technical reviews and team knowledge sharing. Use design software such as IES, AutoCAD, and Revit to produce coordinated and accurate outputs. Candidate Profile

Qualifications: Degree-qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering. Ideally working towards professional registration (CIBSE or IMechE). Experience: Proven track record delivering mechanical designs within a consultancy or design-and-build environment. Project responsibility from feasibility through to detailed design and construction. Experienced in using design and MS software tools (IES, Revit, AutoCAD). Familiarity with UK Building Regulations, CIBSE guides, and industry standards. Behaviours & Skills
