Position: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Secondary title: Building Services Engineer Location: Wakefield Type: Permanent Hours: Mon-Fri 40 hours per week plus overtime Salary: £39,000 - £41,300 PA We are recruiting for a Building Services Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work within on a site providing maintenance and repairs to mechanical/HVAC plant room. The role is a permanent position paying £39,000 - £41,300 PA. Mon-Fri 40 hours per week days. Circa 07:30 - 16:00. Overtime paid at premium.

Mechanical Maintenance / HVAC Engineer Description: • To undertake a proactive role in carrying out maintenance, repairs and inspection of mechanical and general building services. All in accordance with relevant standards and operational procedures and in compliance with legislation and guidance. • Plant and duties may include; AHU's, FCU's, pumps, valves, venting, pipework, boiler room, compressors, pressure systems, commercial plumbing, water feeds, water hygiene systems and heating pipework etc. •Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical and associated building services in accordance with the PPM programme and personal competence and training. •Respond in a timely manner to ad-hoc breakdown requests as identified by supervisor / manager or as a minimum, as per site contract. •Assist in Carrying out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works. •Assist in Carrying out systematic fault finding in a logical and safe manner on malfunctioning equipment. •Carry out duties in accordance with safe working practices within statutory and Company guidelines. •Safely operate all types of access equipment, hand and power tools in accordance with health & safety and manufacturers’ guidelines. •Ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment and adherence to health & safety and infection control procedures. •Maintain records as and when appropriate and as required, whether written or electronic. •Willingness to assist and work flexibly with other trades/colleagues. •Undertake training where necessary to learn other skills and to maintain and develop the requirements of the service. •Carry out risk assessments on-site as instructed by supervisor / manager. •Diligently complete all required job cards and other work-related paperwork to the required standard. •Complete work within the allotted timeframes.

Mechanical Maintenance / HVAC Engineer: Qualifications and Required Experience: •Previously worked within a maintenance environment. •NVQ / C&G in a Mechanical Bias Engineering discipline •Experience of working on or with AHU’s, FCU’s ,LTHW, Pumps, Pipework, Valves, Chilled and Portable Water Systems and Water Hygiene Systems, venting etc. •PPM & Reactive Work •Work on Plumbing Systems.
