Overview

We are looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Engineer - Electrical Bias to work with a range of Mitie clients to provide a multi-skilled maintenance service covering electrical and mechanical disciplines. The role includes reactive and pro-active maintenance in line with project requirements for all operational equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out modifications and installations when required.
• Maintain, repair, and calibrate electrical, mechanical and instrumentation plant to optimize reliability and maintainability.
• Provide a service that ensures key performance indicators are met and liaise with contractors or external suppliers as required.
• Complete required paperwork and produce reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Work to high standards in line with current company policies and procedures; report any deficiencies in systems of work or equipment that may affect service delivery, health and safety, or the environment.
• Ensure own work and the work of those under supervision is completed in a safe and diligent manner.

Qualifications and Skills

• NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering Maintenance (multi-discipline) or equivalent, with up-to-date training where applicable.
• Good knowledge of building Statutory Compliance.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings; strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974).
• Willingness to undertake suitable training to acquire required competencies.
