Multi Skilled Engineer - Electrical Bias

We are looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Engineer – Electrical Bias to work with a Mitie client to provide a multi-skilled maintenance service, covering electrical, mechanical and instrumentation plant, and to deliver a reactive and proactive maintenance service as per project requirements to all operational equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out modifications and installations when required, and maintain, repair and calibrate electrical, mechanical and instrumentation plant to optimise reliability and maintainability.


• Provide a service that ensures key performance indicators are met and liaise with contractors or external suppliers as required.


• Complete required paperwork and produce reports accurately and in a timely basis.


• Work to high standards in line with current company policies and procedures; report any deficiencies in systems of work or equipment that may affect service delivery, health and safety or the environment.


• Ensure own work and, where applicable, the work of those under supervision is carried out in a safe and diligent manner.


• Read and understand technical drawings; apply problem-solving and decision-making skills; communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.


• Present yourself professionally when dealing with high-level client stakeholders and building users.


• Work at height as required; PASMA training on site for mobile towers will be provided.


• Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) compliance; maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering Maintenance (multi-discipline)


• 18th Edition


• AM2


• CSC Gold Card preferred


• Good knowledge of building statutory compliance


• 5+ years' experience as a qualified electrician


• HVAC experience preferable


• Training may be provided to ensure competency


• Ability to read technical drawings; strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; good written and verbal communication
