We are recruiting a Multi Skilled Engineer for our Global Workplace Solutions division, based in Manchester. The successful candidate will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant, equipment, and building services.

Role Summary

1. Identify and manage risks associated with site equipment, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and enhancing machinery performance.
2. Utilize new equipment and technologies to maintain production environments, liaising with clients on machinery PPMs.
3. Fault finding on various machinery types.
4. Support health and safety initiatives within the department.
5. Provide electrical and mechanical expertise on heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes.
6. Develop and review risk assessments, ensuring safety and compliance.
7. Complete documentation in accordance with rules and legislation.
8. Work on three-phase systems up to 440V.
9. Maintain motors, gearboxes, valves, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
10. Use mobile devices for project updates and work completion via CAFM system.
11. Plan daily tasks using email and calendar tools for efficiency.
12. Coordinate with onsite site services for building-related issues.
13. Serve as responsible person for the department when needed and deputize for the Shift Leader during absences.
14. Work overtime as required, including nights and weekends.
15. Perform ad hoc duties as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications

• Recognized apprenticeship or equivalent training.
• Proven experience in manufacturing maintenance.
• Electrical qualifications to City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2, 17th Edition or equivalent.
• Mechanical qualifications to City and Guilds standards.
• Proficiency in working with three-phase motors, drives, inverters, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Fault finding skills.
• PLC diagnostics and repair skills.
• NVQ Level 2 in Electrical and Mechanical.
• Ability to supervise contractors and write risk/method statements.
• Understanding of permits and safety procedures.

Desirable Skills

• Working at height qualification.
• IPAF certification.
• AP qualifications.
• Experience in heavy engineering.
