Our mission is to make the UK a safer place to be.About The RoleWe are seeking a talented and passionate Full Stack Software Engineer to join a delivery team supporting projects initially within the Defence sector, with opportunities to work in other sectors in the future.What You’ll DoSupport the development of application functionality and features.Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.Implement and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure application quality and reliability.Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, frameworks, and best practices.Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.What We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Proven professional experience as a Software Engineer (2+ years).Experience delivering software using Agile methodologies.Experience with JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.Full stack development experience.Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).Strong understanding of software development best practices, including testing, debugging, and performance optimization.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team.Nice to HavePrior experience in the Defence domain.Awareness of Secure by Design (SbD) principles (e.g., JSP 440/604).Familiarity with AWS.Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).Experience with React, Express, Elastic stack, graph databases.Experience with end-to-end testing (Cypress or Playwright).Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes and Docker.LocationHead Office is based in Salford Quays, Manchester, with satellite offices in London and Cheltenham. Hybrid working is available, typically up to one or two days on site per week, with flexibility to spend more days in the office if preferred.About YouWe’re looking for someone with strong experience in developing software solutions and a proven ability to deliver at pace. You should have opinions on:What good code looks like (front end or back end)How to select appropriate technologies for a solutionHow to spot smells in the codeKnowledge of cloud development is preferred but not essential. Solid fundamentals in software development, systems integration, problem solving and teamwork are important. A degree is not required if you can demonstrate the path you’ve taken.Pay And BenefitsNaimuri pays competitively within the industry based on location. Salary depends on experience and is assessed during the interview process. Full-time is 37.5 hours per week with flexible timing; part-time options can be discussed.
