You’ll operate in both the development and systems world, writing software that helps scale the systems and applications that we support for our internal consumers. The team provides a wide breath of open-source projects and technologies as-a-service, including Docker, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka. We use tools like Packer, Terraform, Chef, and Prometheus to manage our hybrid-cloud infrastructure in AWS. You’ll tackle challenging problems and work with nearly all engineering groups at FactSet. Tech stack: Golang, react.JS, docker, PostgreSQL ,Redis, Kafka, terraform, AWS, Linux. REST ApisSquad team: 6 Software Engineers (Junior to principal software engineer) + the hiring manager**What You'll Do*** Troubleshoot and optimize operating system level issues (Linux)* Design and build new self-service APIs, web portals, and CLIs* Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation**What We're Looking For****Required Skills** * Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent* Track record of building infrastructure automation* Working knowledge of basic Linux troubleshooting* 3+ years of experiences in Go or Ruby, Python, Bash**Desired Skills*** Familiarity with containerized workflows, FactSet.io, or Heroku* Experience writing highly-available, distributed APIs and services in a production environment**What's In It For You**At FactSet, our people are our greatest asset, and our culture is our biggest competitive advantage.
