Power Systems Studies Engineer
Location: Leatherhead
Contract: 12 Month renewable - Outside IR35
Project: Onshore & Offshore

We are seeking a Power Systems Studies Engineer focused on supporting onshore and offshore projects. These include local power , renewable energy systems (including BESS), and grid connections up to 220kV.
It’s a hybrid position based in Leatherhead on a 12 months renewable contract that is outside IR35, but we can also cater for employed options.
Key responsibilities:
Conduct power system studies including load flow, short circuit, motor starting, harmonic analysis, arc flash, transient stability, and protection coordination. Perform equipment sizing and oversee third-party vendors conducting EMT studies. Use ETAP software for all power system simulations and analysis.
What we're looking for:
Experience with power system studies (load flow, short circuit, motor starting, etc.) Knowledge of grid connections up to 220kV and BESS Familiarity with arc flash, transient stability, and protection coordination Proficiency in ETAP and EMT software
