As Principal Electrical Engineer, you'll take a technical lead role in designing and integrating complex electrical systems that power the next generation of marine innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and integration of electrical systems across a range of maritime products.
Define system architectures, select components, and ensure compliance with safety and EMC standards.
Produce and review schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation.
Support build, test, and commissioning activities.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and driving best practice across the team.
Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to deliver reliable, cost-effective, and compliant solutions.
About You
Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Strong understanding of electrical design principles, power distribution, and control systems.
Experience with electrical CAD tools and relevant safety or compliance standards (CE/UKCA, EMC, electrical safety).
Confident leading design reviews, solving complex integration issues, and managing multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Desirable
Familiarity with PLCs, motor control, or industrial automation.
