Primary Electrical Design Engineer

Great role to join one of the UK's most rapidly expanding renewable energy businesses, working as a Principal Engineer leading on utility-scale solar & BESS projects.

Location: Leeds

This role is with one of the most exciting businesses in the renewable energy market! From a headcount of 3 in January, they are on course to increase headcount by over 50% by the end of the year. You will be working for a global leader in their field on some amazing energy projects incorporating various renewable energy technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Designing and creating detailed electrical layouts for DNO & ICP projects
Producing cable routes, equipment sizing, layouts, schematics, protection control, keyline, and cable block diagrams
Acting as a specialist on electrical design matters internally and externally
Participating in a flexible hybrid working model – site visits required
Experience as an Electrical Design Engineer
Experience with transmission and distribution, DNO, ICP, or other power projects
Experience working for DNO/DSO/ICP or design consultancy is beneficial
Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience
