Principal Software Engineer / Architect (C# .Net AWS) Remote / Bristol to £100k

Are you a highly technical Principal Software Engineer with strong architecture and design skills? You could be progressing your career at a financial services tech consultancy that specialise in solutions for Pensions and Investment Managers.

Location / Working pattern

You can work remotely, from home most of the time, joining colleagues in the Bristol or London office fairly regularly (e.g. once a quarter).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of scalable, robust and secure software solutions.
  • Shape the technical direction of products, balancing architectural design patterns with pragmatic solution design.
  • Guide engineering teams through implementation; ensure secure coding and best practices; create appropriate technical documentation.
  • Split roughly 50/50 between architecture and coding.

About you / Qualifications

  • Experience with designing, implementing and enhancing native cloud solutions.
  • Expertise with C# .Net including .Net Core.
  • Experience with microservices, CQRS and Event Sourcing.
  • Experience with Cloud technologies, AWS preferred but Azure also considered.
  • Strong database experience with SQL (PostgreSQL or SQL Server).
  • Collaborative with excellent communication skills; experience coaching and mentoring.
  • Comfortable working as part of a leadership team.
