Expleo have an exciting opportunity for experienced Principal Structural Engineers - Marine. Based Hybrid, but with fortnightly visits to the office, you will be assigned to a major new defence project. Both outside IR35 and Permanent roles are available.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the UK-based team in interpreting technical specifications and resolving engineering challenges
• Develop and implement engineering solutions
• Perform structural analysis of marine structures using FEM and manual calculations
• Review and approve analysis reports and FEM outputs
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports
• Build and manage FE models in ANSYS

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant STEM discipline

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in checking and approving ANSYS models and FEM analyses
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Clear, logical thinking with the ability to communicate complex engineering concepts in an accessible manner

Experience

• Engineering experience, preferably in a marine environment
• Experience with PD5500 and similar codes

What Do I Need Before I Apply

• Due to the restricted nature of the work, applicants must be UK nationals and hold (or be eligible to obtain) Security Check (SC) clearance.
