Inside IR35 - On site in Birmingham\n\nJOB PROFILE\nThis challenging role includes all aspects of Manufacturing Engineering. Key responsibilities include the following: \n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n\nManage, Commission and set up new / additional equipment identified through the CI process.\nContinually look to improve the process performance with regard to safety, quality, cost, availability and cycle time.\nEnsure the equipment meets and maintains the EH+S safety requirements through risk assessments and Impacts/Aspects analysis.\nProactively react to line performance issues to deliver the key plant metrics.\nUse of Six Sigma and related CI improvement techniques to achieve Zero Defect manufacturing and Error Cause Removal.\nManage across departments and external suppliers to deliver the projects on-time, in budget and to specification.\nDaily monitor the performance of the equipment.\nLiaise with the Maintenance team to provide in production and "later year" equipment support\nDetermine the PM and spare parts requirements plus the capture of any lesson learnt additions to the PM procedure.\nSupport the Quality function, QRCM team, Plant Reviews and warranty RCCA team within the allocated portfolio.\nThere will be a need within the role to support NPI functions.\nSupport other areas of the plant upon request.\nKEY DELIVERABLES\n\nEnsuring that the Assembly and Sub-Assembly process equipment runs at minimum efficiency of 85% OEE, whilst manufacturing assemblies at world class quality levels.\nAchievement or better than benchmark performance against key responsibilities\nExperience with automation and controls engineering is .\nSpecific knowledge of PLC / Equipment programming and diagnostic would be a distinct advantage.\nMust demonstrate reliability, initiative and desire to learn.\nDemonstrable ability to create and implement detailed and effective action plans.\nEffective verbal and written communications skills along with strong attention to detail, flexibility and prioritization\nAbility to manage and execute multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, dynamically adjusting priorities to meet changing business needs\nFor new Developed/ Implemented equipment support the Development of maintenance schedules.\nWhen required due to critical requirement - assistance with machine breakdowns.\nHSE assessments (i.e., Risk, Ergonomic and COSHH)\nNew product, process and equipment introduction and validation.\nTraining and Development of, and as required and appropriate - operators and other technical support staff.\nEvaluation of Equipment capacities / capabilities against forecast product volumes.\nExperience & Qualifications\n\nHND /Degree level in Mechanical, Automation, and /or Electrical/Electronic engineering as a minimum qualification.\nFive years minimum experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.\nExemplary track record of high impact contributions as an individual engineer.\nProven knowledge of high-volume electronics manufacturing processes, assembly tools and inspection techniques for electronic assembly.\nCapital equipment specification, procurement and business case preparation.\nUnderstanding and implementation of DFM/DFA, FMEA.\nKnowledge of Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing and works study principles.\nSix Sigma Green Belt would be
