Industrial Engineer – Sheffield, UK

Full-time | Day Shift

A global manufacturing leader is hiring an Industrial Engineer to join its Production Engineering team in Sheffield. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across production, quality, engineering, and supply chain to drive efficiency and improve performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demand
• Analyse complex data using models, spreadsheets, and databases
• Design and improve factory layouts and workflows
• Assess cost, resource, and delivery impact of new or revised work packages
• Track and present production performance metrics
• Implement tools and processes to boost efficiency, cut costs, and improve quality
• Maintain resource forecasts for staff and equipment

Requirements

• Degree in engineering (or equivalent)
• 5+ years’ industry experience
• Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, advanced formulas)
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical teams

Desirable Skills

• ERP systems experience (e.g. SAP)
• SQL scripting
• Data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau)
• Lean manufacturing and process improvement knowledge
