Our client has an opportunity for a Production Test Engineer - Electronics to join them on a contract basis for 12 months. You will play a vital role in supporting testing and diagnostics of electrical/electronic sub-systems and circuit cards during the production phase of the product lifecycle.\n\nRole: Production Test Engineer\n Location: Stevenage, fully onsite\n Hours: 37 per week\n Clearance: full SC required to start - UKEO due to project\n Hourly Rate: £32-£36 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35\n\nWhat you'll be doing:\n You will be working with a small team of dedicated engineers in a fast-paced but friendly and inclusive manufacturing environment, carrying out the following:\n\nProviding test engineering support to operators on the shopfloor, including supporting the introduction of new test equipment.\nTesting and diagnosing complex electrical/electronic systems, sub-assemblies and circuit cards down to component level.\nGenerating test specifications, operator instructions and technical reports - based on higher-level requirements and information.\nPromptly identifying remedial and corrective actions to allow Manufacturing to continue in line with the programme, following production test failures.\nSupporting meetings with Quality and Operations to provide status updates on Test Engineering actions and investigations.\n Requirements:\n\nEssential: \nMinimum HNC level of Engineering qualifications or equivalent & ability to provide certificates.\nGood understanding of digital and analogue electronic measurement and test principles, and fault diagnosis techniques, with demonstrable experience down to component level.\nAwareness of electrical/electronic sub-system and system design, integration and test principles.\nGood verbal and written communication skills, including of test specifications, operator instructions and technical reports.\nAbility to plan and organise one's work according to assigned priorities.\nAdvantageous: \nKnowledge of RF and Microwave technology at the subsystem level.\nExperience in operating manual and automated test equipment in an Electronics Manufacturing environment.\n If you are interested in applying for this position and you meet the requirements, please apply!\n\nLine Up Aviation has carved its own place in the recruitment of Aviation and Aerospace personnel all over the world for more than 30 years.
