Overview

We are looking for a talented and dedicated Azure Engineer to join our professional services team at Ekco, delivering transformational public cloud migration and modernization projects for our customers. We are a multi-disciplinary, agile team of experts covering consulting and engineering, collaborating with business colleagues and customers to ensure the best possible service.

About the role

The Azure Engineer will work on Public Cloud migration and modernisation projects, engaging with clients and internal teams to deliver value.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in the design, planning and implementation of Public Cloud projects for key Ekco clients
  • Collaborate with the Project Management team to deliver exceptional projects and solutions
  • Create detailed high-level and low-level design and project handover documents to communicate solutions to clients and Ekco’s service delivery teams
  • Collaborate with business units and stakeholders across architecture, commercial and technical teams to support the implementation of customer solutions
  • Provide technical coaching to team members, ensuring that technical documentation is maintained in line with Ekco standards and policies

Qualifications

  • A strong customer focus, with the ability to anticipate and meet customers’ needs, and communicate effectively at all levels within a customer organisation
  • Excellent working knowledge of Azure infrastructure services: Compute, Storage, Networking, Azure Virtual Desktop
  • Experience ensuring customer solutions and services comply with relevant product standards and internal documentation (ISO certification)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Professional Services role for a Cloud Managed Services provider

Desirable

  • Experience architecting production environments across Physical, Virtualised and Cloud technologies
  • Experience managing or implementing Microsoft 365 services: Entra ID and Conditional Access, Exchange Online, Intune, SharePoint
  • Knowledge of DevOps best practices and CI/CD tools
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Terraform
  • Understanding of ITIL or other Service Management frameworks
  • Knowledge of on-premises networking principles and how they integrate with cloud services
