OverviewProposals Engineer – StroudSalary Dependent on ExperienceOur client is a leader in the Design and Manufacturing of bespoke valves for a variety of industries and they are looking for a Proposals Engineer to join their team!ResponsibilitiesCreating quotations and bid packages to ensure financial and technical compliance with customer requirementsWorking closely with the technical team for the preparation of drawings, BOM’s and models for proposal packagesStudying and evaluating proposed projects to identify the most advantageous costs and timelinesPreparation and management of enquiries / quotations using Manufacturing (Visual) / MS Office software & Electronic Systems. (Visual/Word/Excel/eCommerce)Review and interpretation of customer enquiriesMaintain Quotation Register and File Structure, including document management of customer specifications and clarification logs with company system (DDM)Organisation and co-ordination of RFQ related meetingsCreate robust cost models based on various inputsComply with Commercial Rules of the Road and obtain required approvals for submission of proposalsCreate & maintain price lists where appropriateProvide commercial guidance to the organisation, value engineering, upselling and other cost and price driversEngagement with project teams on margin reviews, where necessaryAssist when required in the arrangement of conference calls and customer meetings either at the plant or customer facilitiesReview purchase orders against quotations and assist with contractual reviewsParticipate in contract review and kick off meetingsIdeal CandidateTechnical Bid Writing experienceStrong Commercial skillsCost & Data AnalyticsMicrosoft Excel experienceGood verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of oil & gas industry (desirable)Project management skills (desirable) #J-18808-Ljbffr
