Quality Engineer Our clients have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join their growing team in Fareham. Production Quality Assurance • Monitor and improve production workmanship standards, working with the operations team to ensure suitable technician training and monitoring. • Inspection, including first article inspection reports. • Analyse and categorise production rework, identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Customer Quality Assurance • Customer complaint and non-conformance investigation, communication and corrective action implementation. • Hosting customer inspection and audit visits. • Product recall and field upgrade management. • Customer satisfaction measurement and reporting Engineering and Project Quality Assurance • Involvement with the product design process, including active participation in design reviews. • Ensuring robust validation and verification activities at appropriate stages in the design process. • Working with the New Product Introduction team to ensure new products are suitably designed for efficient manufacture. Supplier Quality Assurance: • Work with the purchasing team to select, assess and approve suitable suppliers. • Liaise with suppliers to identify root causes of non-conforming materials and implement corrective actions. • Monitor, measure and report supplier performance. Required skills & experience: * 3 years + experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing organisation * Inspection of electrical, electronic and mechanical parts, assemblies and products against engineering drawings and specifications * Experience leasing with customer and suppliers * Route cause analysis and corrective actions Working hours: 37.5 hours per week.
