We’re seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer with proven NEC Revenues & Benefits experience to join a local authority in Birmingham. This is a hands-on role covering 2nd/3rd line support, front-end administration, and leading annual billing processes. Please note: NEC Revenues & Benefits experience is essential — this is a deal-breaker for the role.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide expert 2nd/3rd line support for NEC Revenues & Benefits
  • Lead and coordinate annual billing testing and troubleshooting
  • Manage front-end administration and configuration of NEC systems
  • Support upgrades, patches, and releases in collaboration with IT and vendors
  • Work closely with stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and effectively
  • Maintain documentation and contribute to the knowledge base

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven NEC Revenues & Benefits application support experience (essential)
  • Strong front-end administration and 3rd-party hosted system knowledge
  • Experience with annual billing cycles (highly desirable)
  • Previous work in local authorities or public sector environments (desirable)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills
  • Eligible to pass a DBS check
